Charlotte Internet does not monitor nor exercise any editorial control over the content of any web site, e-mail, mailing lists, news groups accessible through Charlotte Internet's network.

By using Charlotte Internet's Access & Network, customer agrees to abide by the policies set forth in this "Acceptable Use Policy" (AUP) and Terms of Service (TOS). Violation of any of these policies is grounds for immediate termination of service without refund or compensation.

"Unlimited Access" is defined as access to Charlotte Internet's Internet service, without having to incur hourly charges and while customer is actively using Charlotte Internet's service. "Unlimited Access" accounts are not intended as permanent connections. Customer may not attempt to maintain a connection by methods or programs including but not limited to; ping, mail checks, IRC (Internet Relay Chat), ICQ (Internet Chat), auto dialers. Multiple logon's are not allowed.

Customer agrees not to use the equipment or services of Charlotte Internet for any unlawful purpose. Services may not be used to threaten, libel, slander or harass any individual or organization.

Charlotte Internet reserves the right to cooperate with legal authorities and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any suspected crimes, civil violations, or the use of Charlotte Internet's services for illegal purposes or in support of illegal activities. Charlotte Internet reserves the right to remove any materials that are, in Charlotte Internet's sole discretion, potentially illegal, deemed offensive, could subject Charlotte Internet to liability, or violate this Acceptable Use Policy.

Charlotte Internet does not allow the sending of mass unsolicited e-mail. Commercial messages (SPAMMING) posted to non-commercial newsgroups, off-topic posts to a newsgroup, or large-scale redundant posts or cross-posts are not permitted. If a customer is found using our service for the transmission of unsolicited mass e-mail or using these services to point to a web page or web site Charlotte Internet is hosting, then the customer's access account and website will be terminated immediately and without notice. Additionally anyone who violates this policy will be subject to additional fees. Please refer to Terms of Service. Charlotte Internet is not responsible for material on the Internet. Charlotte Internet does not examine content or act as censors, but rather acts as a "common carrier." Customer acknowledges that the Internet may contain information which is illegal, either because it violates copyrights, U.S. Export laws and regulations, is obscene, prohibited for minors, or otherwise violates U.S. or International laws. Use of Charlotte Internet's services and facilities to access, store, or transfer such information is prohibited. Charlotte Internet is not responsible for detection, blocking, or removal of such information. Charlotte Internet subscribes to a Newsgroup provider and is not responsible for the content of news articles, nor do articles express the opinions of Charlotte Internet or our staff.

Personal Website Hosting - Customer shall not use personal web pages for commercial activity. If customer desires to offer commercial services or products via the Internet Charlotte Internet has several business packages to help market your service or product on the World Wide Web.

Customers cannot resell, redistribute, or transfer Charlotte Internet services unless specifically authorized in writing by Charlotte Internet.

Charlotte Internet assumes that the user has a basic understanding of their computer. Charlotte Internet will not train users in basic computer skills such as, but not limited to, deleting files or creating directories, or basic operation of their personal computer.

Charlotte Internet requires a 30 day notice for non-contractual customers prior to your next billing date via e-mail, phone call during business hours or U.S. Postal letter. We do not accept terminal of services via voice mail.

Charlotte Internet reserves the right to modify or change the Acceptable Use Policy at any time. If the customer does not agree to the Policy, the customer may immediately terminate the service. It is the customer's responsibility to keep informed of current terms and conditions of service.
